Our Commitments
At Liberating Purple Star Collective, we are dedicated to supporting Deaf caregivers raising transgender and non-binary children by providing accessible resources, inclusive storytelling, and community-driven workshops. Grounded in disability justice, we prioritize intersectionality, leadership of the most impacted, and collective liberation. Through advocacy, education, and sustainable practices, we empower families to thrive while challenging systemic barriers together.
Liberated Connections: A Support Network for Deaf Caregivers
Liberated Connections is a safe and inclusive space for Deaf caregivers of transgender and non-binary children. A program rooted in disability justice, we are here to empower caregivers through community support, psycho-education, and shared resources. Together, we can create an environment that supports resilience in families and navigates the challenges that come with intersectional identities.
Family and Community Engagement
Family-centric social events and outings, organized through cross-collaboration with various youth providers, offer Deaf caregivers and their transgender/NB children opportunities to connect with others in similar situations, foster friendships, and create lasting, joyful memories.
Collaborative Partnerships/Cross-movement support
Creating partnerships with local groups serving, supporting, and liberating transgender/NB children providers to support DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Deaf caregivers and their families with additional services and resources.
